“Lo” Ramsey was born November 23, 1920 in Long Branch, NJ and grew up in the suburbs of Stamford, CT. She attended East Carolina University and began a successful career in music, singing in jazz bands up and down the eastern seaboard from the late thirties through the sixties. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Dan Ramsey Orchestra and was a regular performer in the Loonis McGlohan quartet. She was married to the late Dan Ramsey for over 35 years. She has two children (Diane and Dan, Jr.), five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ramsey has three secrets to a long life. They are “a sense of humor, a glass of wine and a canister of oxygen.”
