John William “Bill” McGuinn, Jr., (91) born March 23, 1932 in High Point, North Carolina. Bill and his wife Caroline, both graduates of Duke University, have been married for over sixty years and together they raised four children. As a veteran, Bill served in the United States Air Force as a jet fighter pilot and attained the rank of Captain. Bill is retired from a long and distinguished career in banking and served as a senior executive for First Citizens Bank for over thirty years. His life exhibits a dedication to family and community with leadership roles in a wide array of service organizations, church and education. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his commitment to his volunteer service including an inductee in the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, North Carolina’s highest civilian honor.
