Gladys Lorraine Phelps, 90, was born on November 10, 1932 at her home in Elkton, Virginia. At an early age she moved to California and was residing there at the outbreak of World War II. She married the late Robert “Bob” Phelps on December 30, 1951 and they raised four children, Susan, Cindy, Martin and Amber. She is the proud grandmother of eight and great grandmother of eight and is retired from the family business. She lived all over the United States and has settled back on the family farm where she was born.
