Dr. George Rolfe Miler was born September 30, 1920 in Albion, New York. He was married for over sixty years to the late Judith M. Miller and together they raised two children, Ann Pardue and Rolfe Miller. He is the proud grandfather of five and is retired from a long and distinguished career as an orthopedic surgeon and founding partner of Gaston Orthopedic Clinic. Early in his career he served as chief medical officer for the polio hospital in Warm Springs, Georgia founded by President Franklin Roosevelt. He later served the North Carolina Orthopedic Hospital for many years, operating on thousands of children from across the country.
