Charles Sloan Stribling

Charles grew up in the small mill village of Habersham in northeast GA with his mother father and two brothers. His father was the President of the mill which was the primary employer of the local population and essentially presided over town itself. Charles attended McCauley Preparatory School in TN and after a short tenure at Clemson, graduated from Duke University. He served in the Pacific theater during WWII and was stationed at Nagasaki after the atom bomb was dropped. He is retired after a long and successful career in the textile industry.
Mr. Stribling died on August 10, 2017 at the age of 93.
