William (Bill) David Lawson, III was born October 30th, 1924 in Jackson, Mississippi. He has been married to Elizabeth Smith Lawson “Betsy” for 67 years. He is a father to four children, Margaret, David, Susan and Thomas. He is a grandfather of eight. Bill attended Davidson College and earned his MBA at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is retired as Vice President of Hohenberg Bros. Co, a division of Cargill Cotton.
