Milum Owens, Jr. (M.O.)

M.O. as he is known, was born in Aiken Co. SC.  In the early years, his father was a school master and his mother was a school teacher.  His father, M.O. Owens, Sr., was later ordained as a Baptist Minister.  He had one brother, Walker.  He followed in his father’s footsteps and was ordained as a Baptist Minister after graduating from Furman University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.  He has been a strong spiritual presence in Gaston County for about fifty years and is retired as the senior minister of Parkwood Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC.
